2025 SCHOOLS' COMPETITION GRAND FINAL RESULTS

The results of the 2025 Schools' Competition Grand Finals are as follows:

Senior A Grade

St Ignatius' took home the Alison Llloyd trophy for their win, against Walford School, with Gigi of St Ignatius' named the Best Speaker of the debate.  Senior A Most Valuable Debater was awarded to Grace of Loreto College.

Senior B Grade

Wilderness School emerged victorious in a closely contested split decision against Prince Alfred College.  Bella of Wilderness was recognised as Best Speaker of the debate and awarded the Peter Barry medal.  Lucas of Scotch College was recognised at the Most Valuable Debater in this grade.​

Intermediate A Grade

Prince Alfred College defeated Seymour College in a strongly contested debate with Anash of Prince Alfred College was recognised as both the Best Speaker of the debate and the Most Valuable Debater of the Grade.

Intermediate B Grade

Walford School defeated St Peter's College in an outstanding display of rhetoric and poise.  With much excitement, the cheer squad from Walford, celebrated in Alexandra being recognised as the Best Speaker of the debate.  The Most Valuable Debater was awarded to Emma of Seymour College.​

Junior A Grade

St Peter's College was victorious against St Ignatius where Hassini of St Ignatius' was awarded the Jacobs McEwan medal for Best Speaker of the debate.  Shareef of Pembroke was awarded the Most Valuable Debater.​

Junior B Grade

A strong St Andrew's School team narrowly defeated Walford School with Hannah of Walford being awarded the Best Speaker and the Most Valuable Debater of this grade went to Patrik of Scotch College.

 

Congratulations to all teams in the competition for their outstanding performances, showcasing remarkable skills in rhetoric, critical thinking and persuasion!​

The SADA can't wait to see what is in store for 2026!
